25 before 2025

👀 Not me disappearing for the majority of the year. In all seriousness, it’s been a great year of rest D: mostly due to how busy work has been. We’re a smaller team now – so it’s been a rough year both emotionally and work wise. I would say a successful year for our marketing team but there is a lot going on as well.

✂️ AFK notes on the year

For 2025 I didn’t have any major new goals. I wanted to focus on learning writing for plot and I have read a ton already this year, fun and learning – as well taken so many courses. I’ve watched stuff in my ideal genre and just in general focused in on that.

Also, weight and health. I have been working on trying to get on Ozempic, my INS keeps denying it ><; so I am going to try one of those internet doctors next. I got sleep studies and work like that done with the goal of qualifying for bariatric surgery too. Teeth are good, I got an expensive thing done in JAN but it saved my tooth so I am not sad about it and happy that we were able to do that.

Other than that, just some small things. I still want to get a tattoo – specifically something on my wrist related to the sun or moon. I just can’t finalize a deign I like. Damnit.

Travel wise we went back to Oregon, drove up from Cali before the wildfires this summer and spent a week road tripping around. That was great. Last year we did so much travel I am sorta traveled out so I didn’t want to do too much this year. The rental car agency gave me a big ass jeep and it was amazing. We drove all over the coast. Literally.

This year I linked these around my level 10 and how I felt about them this time of year. I often reflect back on this to help figure out what I should be doing.

Something I learnt this year is I think I have Alexithymia, which is “the inability to recognize or describe one’s own emotions.” This makes so much sense to me. I think I can recognize them socially better, than internally. When I look at the level 10 list it’s really easy for me to just pick high numbers because I feel fine about that area. I always thought I was just chill, and had like 3 moods. I am okay until I’m not kinda issue? So this is something I’ve been working on internally to be better at, as it can just help manage overall well being.

So that is what my level 10 thoughts maybe lacking compared to others. It’s fine til it’s not for me essentially is how my brain works. I think my 25 before 2025 represents a good mix of just chill things, some just for well-roundness. So let’s get into it

25 before 2025

Family & Friends Productivity

✱ OK trip before EOY. → family pressure. lol Looking at mid August. I wanna swim and family owns a pool.

✱ Goto a social event. → social pressure lol something like a meetup. I am eyeballing some classes around Denver to make stuff – like hats, jewelry, etc (for class below too) but also looking at options like Nerd Nite – I know the guy who runs it here. You should go.

✱ Join or create productivity live streams. → these body session and doubling sessions have me super intrigued but I see them all over the place, so I was considering starting my own to consolidate it.

Personal Development

✱ Bell Hooks book. → this social book, specifically ‘The will to change’ has been on my list for like a year+ and it feels important.

✱ 5 fiction books. → same as above, I’ve read a ton this year, but slacked on the learning books a lot this year. Other than ADHD ones. The options I am looking at that have been on my short list:

✱ Take a class in a new skill (i.e. geology, etc something new). → try something new, just really here to like I said, round it out well. It’s good to try new things.

Spirituality

✔️ Find a new shelf solution for witchy books. → my shelf was falling apart and I needed a solution, I got floating shelves, those that look like the books are just floating there. They were perfect for this.

Finance

✱ Pay off Upgrade. → eh I keep spending and I need to be good but I can tell you right now I am looking at side gigs vs less spending. ‘Cause I am terrible ADHD person.

Marriage

✱ Finish name change on cards. → All my name change stuff is pretty much done, got a few things left to do but all the legal stuff is done.

Career

✱ Blog Reset. → update this. I did do a quick refresh on the front page, this will restart the articles and I need to get planner 2025 updated and on here as well.

✱ Newsletter reset. → I wanna move this I think. I’ve been playing in cover-kit. I just want to be able to automate some stuff and maybe make a specific series in the future – and mail chimp is too expensive IMO for it. There are some good options out there so we’ll see.

✱ Redo Esty stores. and web storesame as above, everything needs a refresh and general update.

✱ Finish 2025 Planners and Books. → “” by books I mean uploading planners to Amazon.

✱ Create an Ebook or class to sell. → not sure what I will do here, being influenced, literally, from all the postings I see so I am trying to see where I could make a difference with a more in-depth dive.

✱ Create a Sticker book. → I have all the resources to make my perfect sticker book D: so on the list to ponder. It will probably be seasonal, with a heavy use of florals. With clouds.

✱ Create a Short story. _> WIP practice as I am still plotting on other things. Practice essentially.

Fun & Recreation

✱ Proper haircut. → looking at options, looking at a (formaldehyde free) keratin treatment as a possibility.

✱ Trip ALONE. → for me.

✱ Massage. → for me.

✱ Try lamb, in a restaurant or at home. → for me, specifically looking for lamb chops and I got a ton of recs in Denver, but I’ll never turn down more 🤤

Charity/eco (NA)

Home

✱ New stainless steel pan → been slowly replacing all my pans with All Clad stainless steel, time for a frying pan. 10/10 recommend. I intend to pass these bitches onto someone. Made for life.

✱ Sell items: printer, shoes, bag, anything else we don’t need → we have some extra crap that has been won or collected overtime we just need to get rid of. Working on it.

Health & Fitness

✱ Meal prep planner in notion. → Working on this. I loved how my book reader turned out, so yeah working on a food tracking system that will hopefully generate me a list.

✱ Join Yoga classes at the gym. → Eyeballing Chuze fitness, I am worried it will be too busy for me, but hoping this would be a good option. They have classes, a pool and more.

✱ Dentist trips for us both. → Got one scheduled, other later.

As I said, little all over this time of the year. I haven’t made or ordered anything this year. I’ve just been so engrossed in my 9 to 5 work I haven’t had the energy to put into it. I’ve read and hit up a ton of movies and learning.

I also just started building small scrapbook books, I kept seeing them on instagram and I just needed to try to make it. I may adjust the size, but expect that as a template when I get it to where I want. It was super cute and fun. I would like to make Christmas ones for gifts for a few people. Also I immediately wanted to design a spell book one, for like real witchy spells. Which is where the template has started.
