Goal Review 2016

Hello Friends!

Today I wanted to review goals with you. If you did not set goals last year this is a great time to be thinking about it. It;s a good idea to have some concept of what you want next year before you head into the new year.

My goals were not all achieved, due to various personal or environmental constraints. The biggest thing for me was getting laid off. I have never even been terminated and was super sad when this happened. I had more time but less drive. I just want to point out you should let some things go, don’t stress yourself out. It is great to set deadlines but depending on your own self, you need to know how to forgive yourself as well.

So are my goals from JAN 2016, I will make notes in another color – probably Teal.

Personal
Win against this Depression BS (ALL)
For me I wanted to concentrate on feeling better. I think a lot of it had to do with my workplace and being unfulfilled, so I sought it with my blog/etc and was not doing well. I feel a ton  better in my new role being appreciated and doing marketing again. It is amazing how living up to your potential can make you feel. I highly recommend if you are sad in your role, to look. I think that was the biggest change for me.

I still get weeks where I am just unable to do anything, it happens and I cannot help it. I have been trying to stay physically active and eat healthier food to keep those times at bay. I am glad I did not have to resort to medication this year.

Financial
Get Silver under 5k
Pay off black card
Pay off Target
Keep medical at 0
Pay back all of mom

I am only going to be able to do this next year. I am attempting to pay of my small debts this DEC as we don’t usually do holiday gifts, BUT being unemployed had its effects on these goals obviously. I have set a plan in the next year and I hope to be completely golden by end of the year.

Health
Save everything you can
Go to Doctor
Eye Doctor
Walk up the Steps in Castle Rock

The top one refers to my teeth, as I have a bad dental history. I am doing much better now, again unemployment had an effect here but before that I had taken care of the  most dangerous items. I plan to continue the tuneups into the new year. I was able to go to the eye doctor as well and while I did not walk up the stairs in Castle Rock we did do a ton of hiking this year.

Art
Royal Jewelry line
Magical Sensation
Do a Halloween/Christmas series?
Create a memo pad
Create sword USB’s!

I did nothing here, I had no extra funds to create anything great this year. I would love to see some more items made by me and I would love to hit some fairs next year. My interest has changed more to Planning but I still love the way something made by you feels.

Side hustle
Make 100/month in side hustle
Create a calendar freebie 1 per month
JAN FEB MAR APR MAY JUN JUL AUG SEP OCT NOV DEC
Make printable stickers 1 per month
5 DIYs I want to complete
String Art – Hot Air Balloon
Miniature Items – Mini Cupcakes/donuts/ice cream bowls
Spring Grass wreath
Knit an Amigurumi star
Car decal

This is where I had my biggest goals. I almost hit 100 bucks per month but I got really busy in OCT and NOV when I was suppose to do it. I would like to see this increase more as well in the future. I do not make a lot on the side, but would love to generate extra income blogging, writing, freelancing and making things. It would be amazing.

I made Calendar Trackers this year, but was unable to do stickers each month towards the end. I 100% made more than 12, but it has just got so busy here at the end. I also did none of these DIYs – I want to do string art still but I think I have moved away from miniatures a bit, DIYs in general really.

Misc
Goto 2 workshops this year
Join a networking group
Bunny Garden!
Read 1 book per quarter (Q1) (Q2) (Q3) (Q4)

I did all of these, I have been hitting the marketing seminars hard in my new job. I also network pretty well here, it’s great I need to get better at social.

I killed the bunny garden >>; but I tried. I have also been reading more. I did not read Q2 but I read 3 books this last month, maybe more and then this last quarter I am hitting a few as well. I feel pretty good about that and am including the bookcase in my collections this next year. I am excited to read more and hit the books.

After reading those I hope you have a chance to review your year as well. I also hope it gives a sense of goals you may want to do this following year. My goals were not really SMART – some where, but overall the focus was improvement in various aspects of my life. I recently sorted goals into the level 10 layout and am starting to pick ones out for the new year. I will do a run down on those when I get them sorted out. I am still pretty far from narrowing those down though!

Have a happy week!
