I definitely pick up things particular more than others. For me I gravitate towards pens, and I always got for purple first to see if I like it.
My favorite pens are some super basic ones.
I am currently using a Pentel RSVP RT – in their pastel barrel color. I happened on this on Amazon and I have the regular barrel too. It’s always been comfortable but I love the pastel one so I bought the rest. Sometimes I swap colors around from black, purple, teal and pink. Depending on mood. Loving this pen currently.
The next basic bitches I reach for are:
Planner wise, I stick with disc. I picked up some floral months for the dividers and cover. I tend to pick up new HP stuff that is on clearance and out of date to keep the dividers and covers. I recycle the paper. Or at least its in the bin. I drop it off when full.
I use my own inserts, which I tend to experiment with but I always find myself back in a todo list format. Here is what the current one I am using looks like:
I plan to list some new stuff eventually still tweaking on this. I wanted week boxes, but I don’t weekend so I saved space on that, then I wanted two columns for lists. I wanted one for personal and one for work. I added in habits in this draft, but feeling meh about it. Still tweaking.
My classic week is what I love and tend to fall back on, so we’ll see if this is the same way. I am digging this dashboard style though. I am working on a month one too, and maybe a quarter one. I like the idea of rolling tasks.
My planner is laid out like;
hello page
habits
2024 & 2025 calendar
month, my weeks x6 months.
Tasks
Collections
Then after months I have an additional month – as it came with divider – and task for Etsy #sidehustle in a long list. I am testing out some goal pages I got from HP in their box currently. I really loved their travel box and goal one that came out over the black Friday weekend. I am using that month for order count currently, as I didn’t have another idea for now. I will probably take learnings for my monthly dashboard idea.
After that I have some additional notes, then collections. I pulled my books out of my planner to put in rolling doc, similar to my goals. I did this to keep better notes and it will be going on forever now. I like being able to see them at a glance. I plan to color in the bookshelf but I need to make some changes to it. On the list.
I have goal printout (as I keep a doc) and then my Bingo board, which you can get here. After that various trackers – meat, dates, eating out, debt, etc. I have savings tracker, health and headaches. I keep track of groceries and gas spent. Then I keep a master pack list in every planner. ADHD reasons.
She chunky this year, and heavy but I’ve been carrying her around this year more as I have been keeping work reminders on there now too. I add them to my calendar as well – to mark them off as I do them, but if I think of it somewhere else it ends up in there first. Also meetings. Sometimes easier but not always. I switch back and forth with digital.
Outside of planners, I have been playing still mobile games. The ones I am digging are My Hotel, Jewel Quest, Snack bar (with cats!) and I found this cross stitch one for the iPad that FEELs like diamond painting. I like diamond painting but its so wasteful and I dunno what to do with the left overs. I have one more in the house I plan to do, but so far this digital one is providing the same happy dopamine. So yay. I know mobile games can be trash, and I download ones that look okay and remove anything that feels bleh or icky. I downloaded a few games on steam to try, but I can’t say if they are good or not. I also picked up a visual novel romance story as I wanted to try that out too. So we’ll see. I tend to hover back to Minecraft when I get bored so I am pretty content with my mobile stuff for now.
I also have been reading a ton of anime light novels. I blew through 7th Time Loop. I watched the first episode as it’s an anime this season, and was like IMMEDIATELY MORE. So I got them. I am reading a cave one, not 100% I would recommend that one yet but I also picked up a ton more first ones. I highly recommend using sub services – I use both https://j-novel.club & Everand for regular books. I mostly use Everand for non-fiction books. I prefer those to be read to me. Follow my on Goodreads if you want to see what I add or read through. Probably going to be full of novels here in January. I also want to finish the Once Upon a Broken Heart series, I bought the books and I plan to get pretty covers >>; I loved the first one so much. I am keeping them as a reward when I get through some more of my TBR I want to read or finish. I hope I love the other two. I am not sad for buying them either way, the additions are pretty.
Also hardback or paperback? What team are you on.
