10 Tips to Boost Your Blog Post SEO Right Now

Hello Friends!

Hope you are having a great day.

I’ve been working on various admin updates after I changed the look a bit on the site recently – this new minimal design is just what I wanted. I really wish I was a minimal person, I am just not in real life, I have way to much stuff I just like having.

I do however, love the less is more look so I am glad I finally landed on a layout I really could get behind. I do miss the pink so I may have an alternate version for some special things in the future, but the teal looks amazing and on trend right now.

Anyway, the point I was getting to is to share some SEO tips you can do right now. If you are not going back and optimizing your old post (or rewriting them too!) you should give it a shot and pick some of your favorites. Things change, and as long as you write it new and original, it will give that topic and keyword set a boost!

Here are 10 things you can do right now to help boost your post

  1. Use your keywords in the title
    • Don’t skimp on the language in your title to be short, make it readable and thus more searchable with putting your keywords in there with purpose; for example “Boost your SEO now” is fine but “X ways to Boost your Blog Post SEO now” is better.
  2. Use your title & keywords in your post as a headers
    • Headers are important in your blog post because they tell Google, this section is the header – it’s important. Use them when appropriate. Use formatting structure, like bold important parts and bullet points that Google can pull.
  3. Set the post URL to the same title, use those keywords
  4. Make sure all images are named the similar to your title

  5. Make sure the images have alt tags
    • Use text that is relevant to the title and keywords.
  6. Optimize those images
    • Google Analytics lets you see your load times, use it to make sure your images and site load quickly for users.
  7. Make it shareable
    • Use social links and look for those easy ways to have people share your content.
  8. Use internal links
    • Link to pages that are relevant, add in your mailing list plug – and similar post in your blog text. Don’t overdo it and make it seamless, but inner links help give your post a boost.
  9. Use external links to sites that are legitimate and helpful
    • This also helps build SEO trust which brings me to
  10. SHARE YOUR OWN post!
    • Share it on any platform you want, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, etc! Sharing it on these big social sites helps build up clicks from them to you – which also helps tell Google you are a legitimate site.

These are a few things you can go in and do to your old and new post immediately to just help have it pop out. Remember if you are working in a keyword that is hugely popular – like Bullet Journaling – it can take a long time to move up Google. Keep sharing and posting content relevant to that keyword/phrase and you will get there.

I hope this helps anyone out there looking for tips. I have made this into a pin-able picture as well, feel free to use it or repin it! This is a great way to get your post shared on Pinterest.

Happy trails!
